Premium Refillable Ballpoint Pens from Pilot
Premium Pilot ballpoint pens write well and make great gifts. Over a decade ago, I was given a lovely Pilot Ballpoint pen as congratulations for finishing a postgraduate degree.
It’s one of Pilot’s premium range (MR1, by the looks) and is a very nice pen.
As you do, I stored it in a very safe place for later.
I found it recently and thought “whoops, I should have been using this!”. So I have been!
Pilot’s ballpoint pens are refillable
After lying about for many years, the ink periodically stops flowing. I’m hoping it will come right after trying a few more tricks to unclog old ballpoint pens, but if it doesn’t – well, I’ll grab a refill cartridge!
Innovative Acroball ink writes well
These Pilot BRFN-10 refills use Acroball ink, specially developed by Pilot. Acroball ink combines the best of both ballpoint and gel pens. It dries quickly and delivers consistent lines like a ballpoint, but also lays down bold colours typically associated with gel pens.
I have another of these MR1 ballpoint pens in silver which is much newer and the Acroball cartridge in it works very nicely.
